Election Fraud Question
The question of whether or not there was large-scale voting fraud in the last election is moving out of the internet, and into more traditional media.
I still do not want to believe that there is any basis for this. At what point, though, will the issue be investigated and resolved? Why is the government, and are the major news outlets, doing nothing to either verify or refute these claims? We’re not talking internet rumor-mongers. Reliable statistical poll observers, the same that are used to verify the fairness of oversees votes, are questioning the results.
I would be much more comfortable if this were all proven to be wrong, than if it is ignored and ridiculed.

This May Solve our Problems
I think you can get some help at this web site. I have been worried sick over you after reading your posts. Please these people offer some real help.

My, you are just full of helpful comments and reasoned arguments today. I can see why the Kentucky school system ranks 40th in the country, if you are any indication of what they produce.
I welcome reasoned debate and rational discussion. What I have gotten from you in that regard is about what I would expect from someone with your viewpoints.
At least you serve as a useful example to the students reading this website of the level of reasoning they must be prepared to deal with when interacting with backwater America.

The students who read this may think I have a healthy sense of humor, you never know. You are so very troubled, this is worrisome.

Actually I do know, as I communicate with them. And yes, they find you humorous, but not because of your sense of humor. In fact, you have become quite the laughingstock, sort of a poster boy for ignorance.
Through 18 posts in my weblog, you have made not one coherent argument, not refuted anything I’ve entered, and generally made a fool of yourself. In short, everything we expected of you.
At any point I can ban you from posting here, but I haven’t done so. You know why? Because you are amusing, and because as an example of the Bush voters, you have made my point for me better than I ever could.
So thanks. I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Funny stuff. Drunk with blog power eh? Ban me I could care less. Do your students notice you are a control freak?
are you suffering from—Post-election Selection Trauma!?
From Boca Raton News
Boca Raton, FL – More than a dozen traumatized John Kerry supporters have sought and received therapy from a licensed Florida psychologist since their candidate lost to President Bush, the Boca Raton News learned.
Boca Raton trauma specialist Douglas Schooler said he has treated 15 clients and friends with "intense hypnotherapy" since the Democratic nominee conceded.

Not his students, students.
And geez- I’d think it would be smart of you to remember that you have no idea who this person really is.
Now please, why don’t you read the article he posted and respond to its points?
By Tom Folsom on 11.19.04 11:02 am
Funny stuff. My point exactly.
Do your students notice you are a control freak?
First, they are not my students. They are friends who happen to be students.
And how am I a control freak? I’ve been perfectly willing to let you make a fool of yourself.
Am I traumatized by the results of the election?
Probably.
I mourn the thousands more around the world who will die because of it.
I fear for the elderly who will not be able to pay for their medications because their cost is rising so quickly, while the administration does only what it can to support the profits of the drug companies.
My heart goes out to the 1.2 million more people this year than last living in poverty in this country.
I fear for our populace, as the longest recession in our history is followed by the weakest recovery, And for the first time since the Great Depression job growth has not kept up with population growth.
I fear for the future of my country, as we alienate more and more of the world, and create rather than eliminate breeding grounds for terrorists.
I fear for my children, who will be saddled with paying the debt from the three largest deficits in the history of this country. How can I explain to them that there really were no tax cuts, the taxes were just passed on to them by my generation?
I guess that’s what being a bleeding heart liberal is all about.
Caring.
It would be so much easier if I could just wrap myself in a self-righteous christian label, and ignore what Jesus actually taught.
Unfortunately, I can’t.
By alan folsom on 11.19.04 12:00 pm
Nothing wrong with caring. You assume in an a priori manner that the worst will happen. If you care so much about all of this then support helping the poor, the hurting, and the sick. I wonder if the government is the cure all for man’s ills. You have more faith in government than I do. I wonder who it is that wraps themselves in a self-righteous Christian label and ignores what Jesus taught? Can you name names, give substantive evidence against them, make your accusations stick? Why is denying the words of Jesus so much easier? Jesus said that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. It is not the other way around. If you have all of this against some people or all of the people, then expose it, stand by food barrels and photograph the ones who donate food so they can be spared your inquisition. Keep a sharp eye out. You take the role of accuser and it is hard to take it seriously when I know people you profess to loathe who do care and act upon their love for others.

You assume in an a priori manner that the worst will happen.
Wrong. Each of those things I cited has already happened. Perhaps I assume that thousands more will die because of an illegal and immoral war. That is probably a valid assumption, since the killing continues.
If you care so much about all of this then support helping the poor, the hurting, and the sick. Are you assuming I don’t? Do you know my work for charity? Do you know my work for peace in support of him known as the Prince of Peace? Part of my support for these people is an attempt to prevent our government from continuing to harm them.Is the government the cure for all man’s ills? Of course not. But it shouldn’t be one of the causes. The families of 100,000 dead civilians in Iraq might agree that the government of the US has been a cause of suffering, not an alleviator of it.
I wonder who it is that wraps themselves in a self-righteous Christian label and ignores what Jesus taught? Bluntly, you do. You are so concerned about whether two men can love each other, but by your vote and failure to consider it’s effects, you ignore those dead, those forced into poverty, and the elderly who cannot afford their medications, and are prevented from getting them somewhere they can afford. You are willing to cite passages which you feel condemn homosexuality, but ignore, in your vote, Matthew 25:40. You are a hypocrite, but more importantly, you are so hung up in your self-righteousness that you refuse to admit the hypocrisy.
I do not deny the words of Jesus. I deny your self-satisfied and self-righteous interpretation of them. Jesus taught love and peace. You use his words to condemn others, and to condone war. Jesus’ condemnation was for the lawyers and Pharisee’s who would cite chapter and verse to justify themselves and condemn others, while ignoring the truth behind those chapters and verses, which taught love, support, and peace for everyone.
If you have all of this against some people or all of the people, then expose it, stand by food barrels and photograph the ones who donate food so they can be spared your inquisition.
Well, again you lapse into incomprehensibility. This sentence means nothing, and contributes nothing to the discussion.
Keep a sharp eye out. You take the role of accuser and it is hard to take it seriously when I know people you profess to loathe who do care and act upon their love for others.
I loathe no one. I affirm the worth of every individual, not just those who live in my country, or worship as I do. You are the one who loaths, as you practically slobber in your attack on the thought that two men might love each other, with not one wit of evidence that this has ever, or will ever, harm you. How does allowing two men the right to share property, inherit, or visit each other in the hospital when sick harm your marriage? I have no idea of your marital status, but my strong suspicion would be you could do more harm to it than any couple a state away, regardless of their sexual orientation.
For the record, I have been married for 26 years to my first wife, and I have three children. I welcome a comparison of my family values, founded in "liberal" peace and love, to anyone else’s.
I know many professed christians who do stand by the teachings of Christ; who do those things He taught. I meet others who can cite page after page of verse to justify themselves, and will give to whatever cause they feel is good, but ignore in their day-to-day lives the very principles Christ taught.
By Alan Folsom on 11.22.04 10:53 am
Well, well…who you trying to fool, me or you? I think you already have yourself fooled, won’t work on me… I am glad you have a great marriage, this is not a contest though. You are full of hate and lies, not me. You are an accuser, not me. Doesn’t that tell you something?
By Jack777 on 11.23.04 7:29 am
You are full of hate and lies, not me. You are an accuser, not me. Doesn’t that tell you something?
It tells me that you don’t have a clue as to what it means to discuss something rationally, and haven’t read or understood your own comments, let alone mine.
Whenever I have made a claim, I have given facts to back it up. It’s called discussion. You repeat your position over and over, thinking that that somehow affirms it, with no support, and nothing other than your own misguided beliefs and warped interpretation of the bible to back you up.
Have I said I hated anyone? I will NEVER knowingly tell an untruth. (When I said you were the laughingstock of a group of students, I was telling the honest truth)
Please Jack/Doug, why don’t you just go away. You are embarassing yourself, and doing no good whatsoever to the cause you choose to espouse.
By Alan Folsom on 11.23.04 7:56 am
"Funny Stuff. Drunk with blog power eh? Ban me i could care less. Do your students notice you are a control freak?" Who is the accuser and the hater here may i ask? Full of lies? You resort to petty insults and never prove a point. Even i notice these, and i must admit you are worse then any discussions i’ve had at my middle school. Disgusting.

I just wanted to say how educational and entertaining I find your weblog. Especially good are the inter-familial debates, so much more rewarding than discussions in my family, not a single one of whom has ever responded to a single blog entry…
As a sample, here’s an excerpt of recent Wisconsin family holiday dialogue:
"Man, than cheese is good. Did you try some?"
"Yeah, it’s really good. (brief pause) Did you try the nuts?"
"Yeah, they’re good too."
"Yeah."
:plain:
